Thought the coin meant you wouldn't be without money but perhaps not if salt meant wealth.

My dad used to carry a small piece of wood as well as the coal. I still have them in a little tin ( somewhere...prob the loft) think there's a few old coins in there too, (now I remember what it was he had lol)  He was tall and dark haired, I thought he was handsome.....but then he was MY dad

My December one came yesterday too, thought it seemed thinner than the other months. Did get a free calendar tho.

That was quick Fairy. Looks lovely.

Look forward to mine arriving. Wasn't expecting mine till January/Feb. As on website that's when they said they would be sent out. Fingers crossed I get mine soon.

Thats it Edd, remember it now, but don't remember the salt.  My dad had very dark hair.

Ooh yes MrsG when I was a child my mum and dad took me to Oxford St. to see the lights....magical.

Dad would always bring home a real tree during the week running up to xmas and we would decorate it together.

On new years eve my dad  would go out the front door with coal and some other things I can't remember, and then come back in the back door.......can any one remember this too.

Morning all

Rather chilly here this morning, but at least its dry.

Grass covered in leaves but oak tree still has so many on it it doesn't look like its lost any

Shrubs in the garden now look very autumnal, beautiful red and golden shades. My Hotlips still in full flower and also primroses.

Not sure what I'm doing today, feel rather lethargic. Maybe just a wizz round with the hoover and a sofa day

Have a good day everyone.

Tatty bye for now.
