Magnolia Problem

Posted: 19/06/2013 at 13:12

I planted a magnolia last autumn ( sorry don't know the name but grows to about 3m and has pink & white blossom ).                                                          It has heardly grown and has only developed 6 - 7 leaves, yellow in colour and edges of leaf turning brown. There doesn't seem to be any new buds developing eiither.                                                                                                                          I've planted it in open ground, in an exposed position in neutral soil.

Any suggestions please ?

Semperviviums

I am thinking of getting some 'Semperviviums' for my gravel border.

The gravel is approx 50mm ( 2 inches ) thick on weed suppressing fabric.

Would the plants be able to spread ?

Are there any good mail order websites for them ?

Many thanks.
