Where is the best place to look for information on ferns?

Posted: 06/02/2014 at 17:16

Hi

I am beginning a fernery and found Bowden's to be brilliant. I received their catalogue which was excellent really informative and then emailed them with the area size and what ferns from their collection I thought could work. They called me to discuss it through with more suggestions and am now waiting my delivery for the end of Feb - would thoroughly recommend them - First Class service

Would like to mention Mail Order Trees an online company based in Ely Cambs. Received 2 lovely 7ft Rowans, excellently packed with full planting instructions. Really healthy young trees. Delivered for £9.95 by a courier who was helpful on the day of my choice. The trees were well priced as well at £29.99 each.... They were an Ebay company and all their reviews gave them 100% customer feedback and satisfaction.. Would fully recommend....

I found J Parkers a nightmare, plants didnt arrive telephoned and had a really rude woman answer the phone who wasnt interested told me to email them - I did to cancel and asked for a credit, received a very curt email reply obviously the company is so well off they dont need customer service.

Re-ordered with TM and had good service....

Hi hope this doesnt appear a silly question - but when do I plant young herbs (rosemary and thyme) I have prepared a herb border in a sheltered spot near the kitchen and have seen young plants at the local market WI stand can I plant now or wait till spring?

My feeder is being ignored but more worrying is we are seeing around 6 resident magpies and dozens of crows and no sparrows or tits -

Serious stuff......no! Really
