Greetings all. Sorry a lot of you are suffering and taking painkillers I was back from the saltmines sometime ago. Ate tea - steak and chips, then immediately fell asleep on sofa. OH gone to bed. Kids gone out to party - again. Am envious of you all doing your gardening. Good news though. No more saltmines soon. Got that job - even without the plunging neckline.

Lovely day here. Had strimmer out going round edge of raised beds. OH said to be careful. Too early for that. Might get caught by the power tool police!!
Looks better. Had a general clean and weed round. Hand still cold and tingling. Sure I will pay for it later!

Morning all. Day off from the saltmines. Bad nights sleep with painful hand. Carpal tunnel or something! Sausage sandwich calling. Then going to make lemon curd cake for after lunch. Garden calling for tidy up. Marvelous sunshine, though bit chilly. No white shirt. Jumpers and fleecy called for. Son gone skateboarding. Daughter gone missing since Friday night. Odd text here and there. Will reappear for Sunday lunch no doubt. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine?

Greetings all. Back from the saltmines briefly. Harlow carr - wonderful. No better place. Gardening is addictive. Remember my Dad doing garden. Grew loads of veg. Remember my brother sitting at dinner table and saying what are we having with cabbage tonight? Ha ha, everynight was cabbage. Was a glut! !

How To Start Veg Growing

Tony. If you only have a small space - make sure you use every inch. Like grow lettuces under emerging courgette plants. If you see an available space - put something quick growing in. I only have a smallish space and I aim tobyrow something to eat everyday of the year. Easy in summer. Not so easy in winter. Usually just a few herbs by late winter!! Whatever you grow, you will enjoy

Flo I am sure you will collect loads Geoff: need to do a bit here and there, otherwise spring will be here and you will need to do everything double pronto! Have been out there. Sun is lovely. Opened cold frame to let a little fresh air in. Could eat a lettuce out of there on Sunday. Would love collecting, gardening, GC, cake and tea. Alas, saltmines calling!
