June in Your Garden!

well it's done nothing but rain here too i have been out in garden all day clearing up after last night's storm my back garden was under water so had me wellies and me raincoat on and put in a new drainage pipe to try divert the run off from the fields .

tomorrow i will pressure wash all the mud of my patio and hope my plants survive .most are hardy perenialls so should be ok my roses are so wet there on the floor same for the clematis flowers ruined .

oh well it is britain the sun will come out and all will be well

Hi alina w ,yes i agree the barriers are an eyesore ,but they do the job .

weather was reasonable this aft so got all my pots scrubed and ready for the summer bedding hanging baskets all done all hung up in the warm for another couple of weeks i hope .and potted on the geraniums next stop for them outside weather permitting .

hope weather good on thur need to get more done as i am away next week

oh well after such a lovely day yesterday its blowing a gale and rain ,oh well lots to do in the potting shed .

hope it doesnt flood at Buttercrambe or my back garden will be under water again .

Potting shed burglary

oh so sorry lucy ,sadly we live in dire times and anything can be sold or taken for scrap .mindless people who have nothing better to do than wreck someones life .

i do hope you get your seeds off to a good start or maybe we can all send you some plants to help you out .sue

Ground cover plants - suggestions

try bugle thyme  stonecrop sedum saxifraga  dwarf flox oxalis lysimachia "creeping jenny "iberis cerastium "snow in summer "all good cover and lovely flowers too .

Well the weather here in york has been glorious ,so been out in garden since 7am ,phew am tired now but got a mountain of work done ,forcast for tomorrow good too, so hope to get in another full day ,had good company 3 blackbirds and a robin following my every move ,they are so tame and lovely t see .

Good news the swifts swallows and house martins have arrived so good weather to come fingers crossed .happy gardening folks
