I want daisies to grow in the grass

Posted: 02/06/2012 at 18:30

Buttercups, daisys and clover remind me of my childhood too., I had forgotton that.. My husband is building a new rockery and found a crop of daisies in the grass, I laughed when he transferred them into his rockery..  He even loves weeds as long as they have a pretty flower but I do put my foot down about some of them.  If he likes them he can put them in a pot.

my mother in law was given a blue orchid and fell in love with it... gradually it went white!  she was very disappointed, personally I thought it it was unusual but hideous.

I managed to pot up my marigolds... I had a bit of an accident with marigold seeds (I dont like them much because of the smell) but I was given them and dont like waste, anyway, I dropped two envelopes full of seeds in my compost..  Needless to say everying is coming up marigolds.. so I was glad it wasnt too hot today to do the job of repotting them.

I am growing the same this year and think mine might need some stakes to hold them up.  If they get heavy with the beansI think they will fall over.. Mine are about 18" high at the moment.  I had to stake out my broad beans last year..  Sadly I dont have space for them as well this year.  I am a novice so everything is hopefully "touch and grow", I tend to cram everything in not realising how big they grown.
