Broadcasting poppy seeds into the border

I did this a couple of weeks ago but I think only one or two have germinated. Not sure if it was due to the bad weather or the seeds, which came from a seed swap and collected seeds from last year.

Can anyone help identify this plant

I think or rather google think it is a Cimifuga or bugbane.

I bought one last year from Wilko last year and I just wonder if it might flower this year or if it is too young. The plant isn't massive. If memory serves me right they sulk if they are buried too deep.

Damping off help

I don't have the space in the flat to grow them in indivudual pots hence the mulit occupancy. The first lot germinated so badly I put all the rest in (free seeds from a seed swap). I need to learn to water less! I'll try to pot them on later today or tomorrow.

I palm of my extras to my friends!

Damping off help

Just spotted that one of my marrows have died off damping off (Not doing well this year on this account) but the other two in the same pot are fine and just about to develp their first true leaves. Should I dig them out asap or can I leave them. I am worried that it might spread to the two healthy ones or are is it too late to save them too?

It sounds more and more that I should dig it out. I have a Clematis Cassis next to it so maybe I should get another one with a longer flowering period. I am not overtely found of this plant but I don't really like just booting a plant out without a new home when it is in good nick. I have at the other end of the wall a zephirine drouhin so maybe so I am in two minds whether to get a clematis or a rose (or perhpas something else that climbs). Maybe I should use my t&m voucher for a climber.
