FORKERS Sheds

Highland Jeannie wrote (see)

I wonder whether people's sheds are like their houses for order & tidiness??  (We can't throw away anyhting "just in case" & our house, loft, garage & shed all reflect that)

Ah, someone after me own heart, sounds just like us, Jeannie. Main thing is that it feels like home!

MORNING FORKERS

Posted: 03/04/2013 at 08:36

Morning all, hope you send that sunshine over to us soon.

Slightly foggy here this morning, but still very cold. The first red kite circled over us yesterday, so maybe Spring is on its way after all. All the birdseed and fat balls have been eaten up, so the birds are on their own now!

Jobs today are cutting back and repotting the Lantana and Plumbago, which are just starting to sprout little leaves. So happy that they've survived the winter in the front porch. And am expecting a parcel of double hellebores from the postman, yipeee!

Hear, hear, hollie hock! I suggest he reads this:

Have a look at this video.

One of his tips is lightly burying teabags sprayed with muscle spray (as you probably know, it stinks)! I'm going to try this myself, and they're my own cats!

Evening all.

Ours is a ramshackle wooden lean-to and has about as much space to move around in as BobtG's. Apart from stuff like fertilizer, pond food and garden tools it also gets used for car bits, motor oil cans, reserve batteries and all sorts of odds and sods!

Using the back button

I open a thread by using the right mouse button and clicking on "open in a new tab". That way I can just close the tab and I'm back to the other threads.

Purples in my garden but what colour for you?

Verdun, touché! I couldn't think of the names of the others!

I also love my dahlias ranging from dark red to white with pink centres. Actually, my garden is a mixture of colours, but I heart leaps when I see a blue flower!

Blue, blue, blue! Delphiniums, lupins, campanulas, gentians, geraniums, ad infinitum!

Frank, you're a poet and you didn't know it!

Tina, I think it's definitely an age thing. Like you, when I was young I could lie on the beach from 9-5 roasting both sides, now anything above 26°C makes me wilt! I thought I would die during 2003!
