Non flowering escallonia

Thank you for your response.

There are high evergreens in the next garden and some ivy. There is also a holly tree close by.

I will take a picture so that you can see.

Non flowering escallonia

I have 2 very healthy looking escallonia shrubs together on a south facing fence however neither of them has ever flowered. They were planted at least three years ago. They get some sun but not a lot due to other plants close to them.

Can anyone suggest why they don't flower please. Do I need to move them to another position?

Clematis Niobe

My clematis Niobe is pot bound. What is the best thing to do with it? I prefer it to be in a pot as my soil is clay and I cannot possibly dig a hole big enough to take the current root ball. Presumably it cannot be split?
