I am also wondering whether to put some cabbage collars around the plants .

A friend recently gave me about 10 purple sprouting plants which were about 10cm in height . I then planted them out about 60cm apart placing a net over them and plenty of slug pellets around them . However I went to check this morning and the slugs have eaten half of some of the leaves and on 2 plants the top two leaves clean off.

What I would like to know is do I have to pull them up and start again or can they be saved.
