Can anyone tell me what this tree is. It still has almost all of its leaves. Last spring I pulled off all the previous years leaves so now wonder if it isn't decidu

I used Slug Gone last year. It is non chemical. You don't need much as it really bulks up when you water it. Also they say at the end of the season it improves soil. It didn't totally wipe out the slugs but I didn't have very many to worry about.

I have ordered a small one. I am intending to grow it (blue) in front of a big yellow version I already have. I hope they look as good together as they do in my imagination.

You say you have a fern- why not add more ferns and grow a fernery (if that's what they are called). As shown on 'The A to Z of gardening- letter F.

I'm trying to create one in a passage down the side of my house.
