What's the weather like in your area?

Woke up to very strong wind and heavy rain. Now trying to brighten up but every time I go out it starts to rain. I was really lucky to get a compost bin on freegle yesterday. Have moved it to where I want it but not sure if I need a base. It's sitting on flat concrete. Any one know if it would be best to have a base or not please.

we got my son a cat for Christmas back in 2007, he called her Gwennie- I have never understood how a 12 year old boy choose that name. At the same time we got a tabby kitten from the rescue called Willow but we renamed her Leelo. They are always found snuggled up together.

Then in 2009 we got a ginger tabby boy who we called Tiggy. He is about twice the  size of the girls

At the start of this year we got a female adult white cat (have always wanted a pure white) her name was Lily so we left it as that. Trouble was she hadn't been spayed and got pregnant. What joy when she gave birth to the first kitten sitting on my lap.She had four kittens but after a week the smallest white one died. We called them Dusty who became Charlie, Kasper who became Meaowski and Tabs became Mika.

Then before we had a chance to get her spayed she was pregnant again. This time choosing to get up on the sofa with me to have her last two kittens rather than in the box we set up for her. These five kittens are just so cute but I am not nameing them so I do not get too attatched.

Talkback: Most hated plants

I hate brambles. Not a problem where I am now but when I was a single mum with a full time job and 4 children to look after the dreadful stuff got totally out of control. It kept appearing all over the place including in the lawn.

where to find plants with someones name

I remember months ago that someone asked where they could find plants with a certain name. Well being unable to sleep I've been looking through all sorts of things and came across a fuchsia Beverley- this got me wondering what other plants I could have with my name. Can anyone remember where I can find this out please?

It's four thirty and I just can't sleep so decided to have a look on here. Ernie's ghostly gold tops you have made me laugh sooo much- thank you.

I will start to use tea on my camellias.

I must also stop dipping things straight into my pot of rooting powder

Beautiful sunshine here today- not a cloud in the  sky. Great day to potter outside and make the most of my holiday.
