HELP! Two many seeds.

Posted: 21/06/2013 at 17:43

Thank you Fidgetbones. I will go and separate them. So instead of one tray with 24 cells I will have two trays instead. I will see what happens from there. Watch this space ...

I only sowed them last night. Is it too late to half each cell of my multi tray and split them?

Hi Verdun, no capacity for sowing outside unfortunately. I will try sowing the carrot seeds now and see what I get. I will pop them in a large pot. How many seeds would you say?

Hello there, okkkkkk I think I have sown too many seeds. HELP. Have planted some plants along with lettuce in my plastic greenhouse (I am a first timer at this green fingered shenanigan) but have put several seeds in one tub. Will this stop the growth?

I am completely new to this as some of you know may well know by our conversation over in 'The Potting Shed'. I would love to grow carrots. How long does it take from sowing the seeds before you see a result and as I only have a walk in plastic greenhouse, is this an ok place to grow them? I have looked at packets of seeds and they all say Jan-Mar for sowing ???

Hi all, thank you so much for your replies, much appreciated. I have sown some seeds tonight, mainly flowers so lets see what happens. You just never know.

Verdun I am definitely going to use this summer as a learning curve, then towards the end of the year plan for sowng next Jan/Feb.

Wintersong - it is definitely secured (I hope).

I am excited about the leafy greens as I have two lizards so I am sure they will appreciate those if they come up.
