Are these some kind of daisy?

Hi all, I've had these since last summer - they are so good! they flowered all through the winter! and still going strong! I was wondering if they are some kind of daisy? (osteo spernum right?) and can I take cuttings from them? I'd love to grow more of them since they seem to do so well!

Many thanks in advance (since you are all so lovely and helpful on here!)

I've just started building a raised bed for my mum. Mainly used just old wood that was lying around - an old bed and a couple of old bookshelves. going to treat it and stuff so it doesnt die too quickly. whats the best stuff to treat it with does anybody know?

Talkback: Dandelion

I love Dandelions! I try and let them just do their thing! when they establish well they get such huge sunny yellow flowers! I don't understand why people dislike them so much!

foxgloves in pots

Thanks all!

the pots are about 12" in diameter - I will move the bunched up ones asap. I'll leave the best one undisturbed as much as possible I guess. not entirely sure on the species - they are supposed to have pink flowers and have big ol' leaves that seem to be turning slightly red at the ends. I'll try posting a pic when I can. They are definately the thing I am most excited about in my garden!

foxgloves in pots

Hello all,

I have a few foxgloves planted in pots, but I think there is more than one in each pot. Should I split these up for a better flowering? If so can I do that at this time of year? are there any tips or tricks anyone has?

Many Thanks!

yeah I felt a bit mean about that post... sorry about that, its true though, I dont think (for now anyway in my tiny pot collection) anything more than a jug is really needed. The mouse idea sounds like the best to me.

I've seen them in home and bargain going relatively cheap, probably like the tinfoil ones mentioned above though...

Hi Dove, Not so bad, had a few more things "going walkabouts" including a little tree (black hawthorn I think it was) I got from some volunteering along with a few daffodils being dug up! shame but hey what can you do. I've had some kind of dasiy thing flowering all winter which has been nice, not too sure what it is, i'll try post a picture at some point. saw a couple more ladybirds today too, hidden on the old withered stems of sunflowers. hoping they stick around to sort out the aphids when they come! How are things your end?
