Mine have also been up since before christmas. they all look ok apart from one which has a little bit of brown on its tip. should I pile some leaves on it to keep it warm or will it be alright?

Fox gloves

Hi all, I have some foxgloves planted in pots, most are still green and herbaceous but 1 or 2 seem to be dying back. Is that normal? is there anything I should do to look after them? I've been told on here that they are pretty hardy and will be alright just against a wall outside for winter.

Daffodils sprouting

Planted them roughly double the size of the bulb deep. maybe some a little shallow as they are in pots. put them on top of a little bit of gravel too like Monty don said in GW a while back.

How long can you save seeds / bulbs for?

I had some sunflower seeds that the pack said were "out of date" but they seemed to germinate ok, they were about a year or so after their best sown by date but at least half seemed to germinate of the ones I planted.

Daffodils sprouting

Hi, I planted some daffodils a few weeks ago now, (can't remember exactly when, but I saw a few posts on here saying it was time). Now they have already begun to send up shoots. Is this normal? is there anything I need to be doing for them?

Thanks!

ah that sounds amazing! hate those little things! always chomping on my nasturtiums! Let me know if it works at all! I've started trying to plant just any carniverous plant to try and keep thier numbers down... not too much success with that yet though.

Ivy out of control

I've always loved ivy up the side of buildings, is it ever alright to just let it go a bit mad or does it just damage houses too much?
