Squash or gourde

My friend can't remember however I cut one in half which proved very difficult as they are really solid and they tasted awful.....inedible gourds I think

Heather and how to care for it?

Posted: 06/04/2014 at 10:05

I have had some heathers in my front borders for a number of years and they have never really done any good, the border is damp and shady so I don't know whether those are the conditions they like.  Where can I move them and also what do I need to do if anything to them once planted? Cut back?  Feed?

These have just been harvested from the garden and vary in size from 4" to 6" across.....

Are they edible or not..?

I only wondered as I came across some photo's of inedible gourds which looked similar.

Sunflower Seeds

My sunflowers were huge this year and the heads have masses of seeds on them (they are still happily blowing around in the wind at the bottom of the garden). I would like to use some in the kitchen and save some for planting next year, what do I need to do?
