Thanks all. This is going to be the best one yet as I have made it plain that my looking after, babysitting days are gone!  Been doing it for 18 years, so time to retire. I will just coo and cuddle and make sure she's the best dressed baby ever!  Going to see her at 7.  Have some pics and she's really chubby.  Lovely.

Have a lovely time with your family BL, especially that little granddaughter.  The first thing I bought my now 11 year old granddaughter was a pair of fairy wings.  Still has them on her wall.  Now wears Dr Martens. I blame the mother (my daughter).

barking dogs

As Fairygirl said, have had an ongoing problem with neighbour's dog for nigh on 4 years.  Did contact Environmental Dept at Council and first time was told to keep a log, but that was easier said than done.  Phoned again a few weeks back and could have made a formal complaint, anonymously if I wanted, but decided to try and deal with it myself.  Didn't confront them as I was sort of aware of what the reaction could be but wrote a very polite letter, starting by apologising for having to do so.  Outcome wasn't too good, but the dog has stopped.  3 weeks now and it's bliss.  So Diddy, don't leave things to fester.  Deal with it now otherwise it will make your life unbearable.

Morning all.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes.  Did mention to grandson last night that maybe it's twins (not) and he said he would be moving back in with me!

Chicky just seen your Mum's calligraphy. What a lovely find and how true the words are.  Wished I had heeded such advice first time round.  Would have saved me a lot of distress. Have nothing like that I'm afraid but know there's lots of bits and bobs in my loft that I want to have a look at.  Need to have someone here when I go up there though as I have been known to do a 'Me Tarzen, you Jane' act trying to hang on to the edge of the loft trap when ladders fell over.  Now have proper loft ladders.  Was quite a fall!! Should add that I left OH in the loft!  Wondered where he had got to.

Anyway, going to try and keep mind occupied so about to paint my nails as, if I get to see babe today, don't want him/her thinking I don't look my best.

Tomorrow Fidget. DIL due in hospital at 8.30 and is third on the list, barring emergencies.  Might get to see her/him depending on time babe delivered.

I'll let you off of detention.

That's why  I got rid of mine Gardengirl.  So spiteful.  Seemed like a good idea when I first planted it.  Cats used to love it.

Thanks Chicky.  Just have to hope that all the 'this could happen, that could happen' prove to be wrong.  I do find these days that the young mums time is often spoilt with all these possible scenarios.  Bring back the trumpet I say!  You may be too young to know what I'm talking about.

Those toms look delish Blackest.  Good photography too, not that I know much. Looks like it has been set for someone to paint.  Very nice.

Evening. Think I'm talking to myself.

Sorry Bev. Have been spreading myself about and being a bit vocal.  Did pm you the other day.  Used to visit Eastbourne a lot when I was younger.  Don't know if it's changed but it always had such beautifully kept gardens and there was the bandstand! Sat on many occasions listening to the bands with the 'oldies',

Verdun, there's nothing wrong with my bellows. It's the strutting that's getting a bit difficult.  Can't seem to control the zimmer frame.

Well, got the requested muslins for DIL and a few other bits and pieces.  Have sussed out where I want to shop and have my eye on some lovely little dresses and sweet cardis with rosebuds and bows on them, frilly tights, etc.  I bet it turns out to be a boy! DIL goes in tomorrow at 8.30 so it will be all systems go.

Best get washing as it's getting dark.
