Kef and Dove. Naughty girls.  Punishments are still in place you know. No rule changes just because we've changed threads.

Yes, they were Kef. Took me days to do it.  We all do silly things at times don't we.  Seem to remember it was the 'in' thing.

Perhaps if I get the ladders and emulsion upstairs, making it look like I'm going to attempt to do ceiling, son will get stroppy and protective and insist on doing it.  But which decade?

What a lot of chat to catch up on! Nice though.

I do love your wit Dove.

Started on the bathroom and have removed all the stencilling I did on the airing cupboard several years ago. It was a case of 'don't stand still or Mum will stencil you'.  It was the only place I did it - fortunately.

Turned heating off as I was standing by a radiator, but it's going back in now.

Eucalyptus Tree - should it stay or go?

I don't profess to knowing much about gardening but, as you say FB, kept prunned the Eucalyptus is a really nice tree to have. I love the backdrop it gives. It still has the small rounded leaves as I cut it to 6ft every year.  Actually, it's only 4ft at the moment as son went to town on it!  Was a small bush when I bought it. Oh, and I have clay soil!

Gembo, my own experience of a eucalyptus tree is the total opposite of other posters.  They only become huge if you don't prune them. Have one about 8 metres from house which has been there for 15 years or more.  Keep it to about 6ft and it has caused no problems whatsoever.

Morning all. Actually slept all night from 12 until 7.20.  What a result! Bright, nippy day, not that I will be venturing outside.

Welcome to all 'newbies' to the thread.

Dove, do you loan your OH out?  Yesterday, I asked Daughter for a favour and she might be able to fit me in next Thursday.  Didn't comment. Perhaps when she then asked if I could child sit tonight, I should have said I can do it next week.

I'm like your OH MrsG. Can't be cold so have heating on. Not 24 hours yet though.  Listened to what the top bods get paid this morning. Mind boggling. Head of BG gets over 2million pounds.  Surely that can't be right. I think we need a revolution.

Early brekkie today and think I will start on the bathroom. Needs brightening up.

Bragging again Woody. My new granddaughter is into partying all night, much to the distress of her parents.   Night.

MsB, don't try to keep up Just go with the flow.

What a load of rubbish there is on TV. Just watched the prog about the Yorkshire School.  My goodness, how things have changed since my day and, from what I saw, not for the best.  What's happened to respect?

Well, I don't believe it.  Unless someone beats me to it, I am sort of first.

Good Evening FORKERS

Posted: 10/10/2013 at 19:12

Evening folks. The only thing I have done today is - nothing! Awful night and you sickly lot have passed your germs on.

Been having a small Magnum a day for 18 days now as Tesco were doing them two boxes for £4.  Prior to that, they were doing the big ones for half price.  Well, you can't ignore an offer like that can you? Have to keep them hidden though.  I take them out the boxes and put them in plastic bags and bury them under all the veg in the freezer.  How sad is that.

GG, that butterfly is beautiful.  Both my next door neighbour and myself have buddleias (copying FG's spelling) but seem to attract very few butterflies which is a shame.  Used to be lots of them when I was a wee gel.

Is it time....unification of evening and morning FORKERS?

I think the regular posters, which excludes me, should be the ones to decide. I will be happy with whatever they would like to do. Usually miss most of the Morning Forkers anyway!!
