And following up at the rear............

Morning everyone. I was going to get early today, well for me.  Awake at 8 and the next thing it was 10!! Will miss you Bev as you make me less guilty about getting up late.  Just in case we are passing ships today, I wish you all the best for tomorrow and hope all goes well.  It's good that you feel well enough to return.

Lovely morning so quick coffee, breakfast and - where's my paint.

Woodie, going to call you that, unless you object, no work at all is even better, but I have to agree working from home is good.  Did it for many years some while back. As long as the work got done, you could do it when it suited.

Best get going.

Good Evening FORKERS

No offence taken WW.  Languages weren't thought that important when I was at school. How things have changed.  Never been a drawback for me though.

Shouldn't have to do that Kef. Think I better call it a night.

No thanks WW. Will stick to what I know, even though that's not too good at times. Only French was taught when I was at school, unless you went to Grammar where they took Latin.  Not like these days though, they have several to choose from.

Hope you've been taking it easy since your open day.

Sorry, don't wish to be a party pooper, but could we stick to English. I had one year of French tuition more years ago than I like to remember so haven't a clue what has been said.  I found it rather offputting.

Oh no!  Just heard my favourite, Nadal,  has been knocked out on first day.  Sorry Murray fans, but he just doesn't float my boat.

Naughty Kef, you been at the vino again. I'll go with the flow but I think there are some posters that only get on here in the evening and they didn't want to wade through a day of posts.

Verdun, you did - in March. Went off on a slightly different tangent though. I posted on it too so, although I am correct in saying it was covered on Beeb as Bookertoo has said, I had forgotten about your one.  Just happened to notice it whilst looking for something else I posted on some time ago.  I am beginning to get worried.

Yes, I remember that must have beeb quite an upsetting time for you Verdun.  Well, I found it uncomfortable anyway.

Better not change my name again otherwise I might start arguing with myself.

I asked FB as my son, a drummer, did, well still does, drive me to distraction with his fidgeting and tapping.  Was horrendous when he was in the bedroom over the sitting room.

A sycamore rant

Posted: 24/06/2013 at 14:21

Next door did have a huge sycamore tree which sent up shoots everywhere.  I was forever digging them out but I stupidly let one get big.  3 years ago, son cut it down - not in a conservation area. Best thing we ever did. Horrible tree, well for ordinary gardens anyway.

Idle chit chat

James, Googled and found this:

Pith helmet was covered by white cloth, often with a cloth band (or puggaree) around it, and small holes for ventilation.

Do like to stick my nose in.  Probably someone will say that's a load of twaddle.

I stand corrected then FG, as you didn't post on Beeb forum.

What day is it? Meals on wheels usually calls on Tuesday.
