Frank I actually thought she looked like one today. Ouch, that was bitchy.

Frank, I wouldn't argue with you.

What is it about these offspring that they have to compete, in a friendly way.  I'm always being told that middle child is my favourite.  I go along with it now and so does he, so when we are altogether we really play up to it, while the other two look at each other with the 'see what I mean' face.

Gilly, I've only just spotted your post about dressing up box. Very apt remark.  He looked a right plonker and as for Princess Anne, why does she dress like a man?  Mmm.

Good Evening FORKERS

Evening all. Just wanted to be the first at something.

Awful weather today, high winds, torrential rain and it's chilly.  Just popped heating on.

Never did think much of these surveys Fred. I don't think we need a survey to tell us what we already know, do you?

What's wrong with that Frank. It's their way of letting you know what they feel about you.  I know they probably show it all the time but it's that special day.

Two of mine have a competition as to who can get the showiest, slushiest card imaginable. The mantlepiece is the first thing they aim for when they come in and the first words are 'Let's see what he/she has managed this year'. Then they have a row - a friendly one, of course.

My MD cards are still up! I suppose I will have to take them down now so FD ones can be on display.

Does anyone know the name of this tree please?

Huh, favouritism Kef.

Does anyone know the name of this tree please?

Verdun, you know I'm a numpty where knowing about plants/trees are concerned, but I've always found that the rooting system is very shallow, even if it spreads a bit.  I've had two that have just fallen down when the ground has been really sodden and there's high winds.  Dug one up that was growing in the lawn and it wasn't a case of getting through to Australia. I've honestly never found it/them to be a problem. Now, if we want to discuss Sycamore trees, that's a different matter.

My son will love the tree because his Mummy has given it to him.

Think my children would agree I would have made a good Sergeant Major, Frank.

MORNING FORKERS

If all our wishes come true, you will have a fantastic day tomorrow WW. I'll be pleased to be able to uncross everything. Getting somewhat awkward.

I think you're an absolute star for putting yourself through all this work and, no doubt, anxiety. No matter what, you should be proud of yourself. I know I couldn't do it.

Like FG, I only wish I could make it too, but apart from the distance, I will be out of commission tomorrow.
