azalea's - When does everyone feed

Posted: 16/06/2013 at 15:28

I use a liquid acid feed before and after flowering,  my azalea's have been amazing this year but they are now starting to die off.

When Tom and I were first married(-many years ago-)

When Tom and I were first married we used to visit Farndale in Yorkshire which was covered in daffodills.

People used to walk away with armfuls. which eventually almost  destroyed the area. It then became illegall to pick them.

tea bags

I only use loose tea ,as  I live in a hard water area which leaves a scum floating on the top ,,so should I save them for my compost or put them directly on to the soil .

Talkback: September in the garden

My Cosmos are over six feet tall ,and are just beginning to flower, Roses are dying back after a short flowering period.  I bought quite a few new perennials to fill the space where my greenhouse used to be.. The soil was abit clumpy so was advised to apply soil improver, local supplier satd it would act like viagra,  he was right

composting

This is my second composter.  It is standing on top of a tree stump. I've noticed some toad stools (fungi) around the edge of the composter. Can this have any effect on the compost, which is three quaters full.
