Victoria Plumb - query over fruit

Posted: 02/06/2013 at 14:54

I have a 3 year old Victoria Plum dwart patio tree in a large pot on my patio, it is producing fruit, but some look normal and others look strange shaped - is there a reason for this, and do i need to thin out the fruit that is appearing?

Thank you for your help - Tony

Hi Flowering rose yes they ( i have 5 camelias alltogether ) are, all the others are various sizes from 5ft to 2.5ft the one pictured, they have all been treated the same and the rest have buds all in the right places. I will take all the advice given and greatfully received and let you know the outcome. As far as the magnificent mix of ThaiGer's i think i will stick to the commercial product as i havent got a degree in horticulture lol.

Hi all

I have a question regarding my camelia, which is growing in a pot.  It has made new growth but the new buds are only showing on the lower branches - can anyone advise why this is please?

Kind regards, Tony

Climbing Rose - markings on stem

Posted: 12/02/2013 at 22:24

Hi, I have some markings on my climbing rose, I wonder if anyone can identifty what this is, what caused it and what action I may need to take to eliminate it.

The rose is in the garden in a west facing position, flowered for the last 2 years very well, it is only 3 years old and have not seen this problem previously.

Appreciate your advice - Tony
