Peter E17, You may just have solved  a problem for my neighbour & I. I was saying to her only yesterday that I had heard a strange noise in the back garden the night before last. Hard to explain it really , it was quite repetative, but it was 11pm and I did'nt fancy investigating at that time of night. I will google frog noises !

Good afternoon fellow gardeners. Sounds like we got away with the worst of the  bad weather last night, we had lots of rain but no thunder or lightening. The lawn has grown a lot in the last week so i think  it's time to get the mower out. Also got some broom to cut back and a clematis which needs to be tied in. Lovely and sunny here at the m,oment with a nice breeze.Enjoy the rest of the day !

Just had a fright. ! A frog in the living room ! Took a while to catch it but froggie is now safely back in the garden. Don't know how it got in  though, either one of our cats brought it in or maybe sneaked in through the garage. Does anyone know what size gap they can get through ?

What's the weather like in your area?

Just had a fright ! A frog in our living room ! What a job trying to catch it. Did'nt want to harm it just did'nt want it's company whilst watching TV.Anyway, mission accomplished  and he/she is back in the garden. ! Don't know how it got it, but guessing one of our cats brought it through cat-flap or it got in under garage door.Does anyone know how small a gap they can get under ?

Hi Mozza , I have been looking at some old Amateur Garden mags and came  across an article on petunia hanging baskets by Kris Collins -gardening Editor. He says to cut them back  to 15cm or so with a shears  ( , sounds harsh ) but according to him this will get them back into shape for a second flush.   This will take a few weeks ,but it will be worth it ( according to kris !) Oh , and he suggests a liquid feed after cutting back. Will be interesting to know if this works !
