Not sure if this helps but here's what we did with a bit of log - a bit of yacht varnish 😎

palm problems

Hi

i have a Canary date palm which I keep outside in sunny conditions in summer (not sure where summer is at the moment) and overwinter by putting pot underneath a huge Pieris - I generally chop brown fronds off - if you have one outside that is doing well - move it outdoors- does the pot you have it in have drainage holes? I ask as palms don't like to sit in water - good luck

Insect bites

Original Avon Skin So Soft - I'm the type who gets bitten as soon as step of a plane and the bites swell and blister - last year at a meeting my colleagues had a sweepstake on how many bites I would have after going to Corfu for a week - 31 was the winning number!

After that my friends son who was in the Army told me about Avon SSS - used in Crete for a week and not 1 bite - whoo hoo!

Never travel without it

Thank you - what a lovely garden that will continue to develop and grow over the years and no doubt give you both a lot of joy.

Love the colour on garden fence - what is it? Feel the need to get the paint brush out !
