Bought some Gerbera plants (reduced) from GC today when there looking for other plants (which I didn't find).

No idea where to plant and GW plant section says they do not exist.

Should I treat them as houseplants or are they able to go into the garden to be lifted and brought in for winter?

Any suggestions please

Peonie help and cat issues

A cat deterant I have used on my veg bed is pepper.  Get the pepper grinder and grind over the bed - best done when not windy .  Needs to be repeated weekly but it stopped next doors cat and our rabbit from lying sitting or digging in the bed.

Spent afternoon at Bridgemere Garden World buying plants to go in by front wall.  Now need good weather to plant them after numerous placings

Went plant shopping at Bridgemere Garden World today and husband decided we needed a Lemon Verbena (Aloysia triphylla).  Also bought the lavender I wanted to make hedging along the front and 2 sented pelagoniums.

I am looking for any ideas for best conditions for Lemon verbena as I have never grown it before.  Live in Cheshire so not the warmest of climates.  So is it inside, or outside in pot, or in ground or ...

keeping mice off pea seeds

I have never grown peas before but am going to try this year.  Thanks for the tips and hints about protecting from mice.  My greenhouse backs onto a farm field and mice are regular residents/visitors in winter.
