i have mentioned my bucket of snails a couple of times. This was collected in an alarmingly short period of time

Thats amazing.. Where did you dispose of that? I read a post this mornng about mixing flour and water in a dish that you sink to ground level in the border and it attracts slugs. Im going to try it. I'll try and find it again and try and put it in as a quote

Thanks for that I'll try it out on them. A slice of cold pizza for my lunch. What I wouldn't do to be able to order up what I wanted from our kitchen what a life..

Kate it seems Ive been making Keema for years ,I just googled it, I just call it curried mince another thing Ive learnt today. The next time I make it it will sound so much more posh than curried mince

Slugs and snails

Jean its just like the rabbit thing you would think they had enough to eat in the countryside but ow no they aim for a garden for a bit of posh nosh..

I'm going to try the flour and water that's a real cheap and cheerful idea. I came across the biggest slug ever in my greenhouse the other day it made me feel quite sick killing it

Geoff and Kate you should be on the stage you make me laugh. Ive had depression for a while now and decided to beat it myself I found this site and havent looked back. My OH is on facebook which I hate.. At least on this site you can talk to like minded folk.

ps Im another one of these women who dont hoover out there cars even though I promised with my new car I would, well once in two years is that ok?

And Geoff what do you suggest for our meal tonight I could use a base of mince if that helps. I made homemade pizza last night the base wasnt great the dough didnt rise as well as Id hoped but they ate it all.

Pouring down out there

What does this jet stream do for the north of Scotland then? Are we to get our normal summer! rain and humidity with midges, at least with the cool weather the midges weren't bad. I'm editing this post I was being very negative, we can actually get lovely weather too. I was recently in London for the first time and was I glad to come home to clear air and everything green and lush around. The scenery takes a lot of beating up here

Glad it wasn't only me that was confused. Wouldn't a glut of bramley apples be so nice. We've none on our two year old tree this year
