Talkback: Lawns and wildlife

I always think of the flowers we have in our garden, I think we more than do our bit for wildlife. We have two dogs I know what you mean about keeping the grass cut. We have two families of blackbirds in our garden I love watching them, when their young were leaving the nest for the first time a couple of weeks ago I watched the male blackbird he was dive bombing our jack russell to chase him away from his babies our poor dog was petrified

Thanks Geoff Ill tell him tomorrow the old soul was just going to buy a new lawn mower he didnt realise it was a spare part that could be replaced. We get stung so much for delivery charges in the Highlands Ive seen companies doubling charges, refusing delivery or even adding £25

Kate no I dont have any nice walls yet!! I would like a feature in my front garden I keep telling them to look out for nice stone.

lottie Im impressed how do you get your boys to do their own washing how old are they? Ive tried with mine they used to be so good. But in saying that they do work very hard they leave the house just after 6 and weather depending they wont be home till at least 8pm. They are dry stone dykers.Where can my old neighbour buy a drive belt for his flymo lawn mower without spending £5 for delivery do any of the stores have it b&q nor homebase have them.

I was the avon lady for a brief time and sold gallons of skin so soft and although it worked Id say when they are really bad nothing works!! Its really bad if you have a dog especially a damp one they cling to them and then they come in the house..We have one of those machines at work, Im indoors at that time so I dont know about them.

Im sooo loving my two foot supersoaker I just have to pick it up and my two wee terriers shut up its brilliant but where are the local cats word must have got out.. Beautiful day here.
