I agree with Alina the reason i would shift them late spring is the conditions we grow in up here in the Highlands everything needs a chance to settle before cold weather sets in so we tend to shift in  late spring

i hope you get better advice than we did we were advised to get a discovery apple which happens to be my favourite apple for the north of Scotland 1100ft. Our season is so short and we have late frosts often till the end of June. Weve now been told its unlikely we will ever get apples from it. We bought a bramley last year and got 6 large apples which i used to make a pie yummy..

ive shifted irises successfully. The advice I would give is to divide them in late spring, dont plant them too deeply as they like heat about there feet

i once had a mole running round my garden i couldnt get past it to escape i dont know who was more scared. I had no idea they were so big. Anything smaller than the average cat and im off!!!
