That is about the size of ours. That is very inspiring we (well me really) have the idea of doing away with grass in time. I think the idea of rooms is lovely

How are you getting on with the house sale next door? Our nasty neighbour left two weeks ago Ive since heard the new neighbour would never have bought the house if he'd realised how dirty it was.. Im not surprised to hear it was dirty if her garden was anything to go by

Do you know Geoff I think roses have come a long way from the old fasioned ideas of pruning and this nonsense of leaves. Between Alan T saying there is not alot you can do wrong with pruning and the company that grow the ground cover roses pruning them with a lawn mower(somewhere I read that) they are not the nambie pambie plants they are made out to be they are pretty tough cookies. A good feed with it and you cant go wrong. Thats what I think anyway

Anyone enlighten me with the rule of how many leaves on a rose, a friend of mine bought a David Austin shrub rose but is concerned it has 7. She doesnt think thats right. I really dont know or am particularly bothered as long as it flowers which it has.

You should find they will self seed I found them coming up in the front garden with the main plant in the back garden

Thanks everyone for your concern.Well what a night we've had my other half ended up going to Skye which was a 260mile return journey straight from being to Wick, for a footie match, which is not far off the top of Scotland 220miles return journey!! I had to pick up our other son from Inverness which was a 30mile journeyfor me at 1am.. We all got to bed at 3am. But as we all said at least we were all home safe. Both cars are write offs so how lucky were they!! I was just saying to my OH about these lessons in life the boys are learning Id wish they stop them. Id say its us that comes off worse, what a worry they are

Im a bit upset now our younger son has been in an accident in Skye which is miles away. Hes just phoned to say police have just arrived. Thankfully they are ok. But we'll have to arrange to get him home. We will have to wait and see if his car is fit to drive home!
