Hardening off flower seedlings in plastic greenhouse

I have about 50 seedtrays of flower seedlings, ( Livingstone Daisy, Dahlia,Antirrhinum, Coleus, Pansy, Sweet william, Petunia, Aubrieta  I also have about 50 seed trays that are germinating very well but not ready. These have been kept in my south facing dining room.

I want to harden the seedlings that are ready in plastic greenhouse(it is south facing against a brick wall and well tied down ). but unsure if it is too cold to leave them in there at night.

I had them in there all day yesterday and brought them in at 6pm overnight...wondering when i can leave them all day and night in plastic greenhouse. ill try add some photos. This time last year I had 2 plastic greenhouses full of seedlings and it was alot warmer at night, its been so cold. I live in Northern Ireland.

Ive uploaded some photos hope they work . many thanks

I agree it is so cold! I was grumpy on Saturday as my garden was damp and cold and I wished for sunny and warm.

Thankyou Chica, I am glad they are doing well for you! I think my kids would appreciate it if I moved all my trays outsie as I am taking up valuable playroom for some reason this year i have lost my nerve and opted for inside!  I have three of those walk in plastic greenhouses and I am really keen to get them filled up. they worked a treat the last few years!

What's the weather like in your area?

Seed Sowing

I start off my flower seeds in those plastic non heated propegators and place them in front of my south facing patio doors inside my dining room.

I have also seeds inside the clear take-away cartons with lids, and have covered some seed trays from last year with clear plastic.

I usually place them all outside in plastic walk in greenhouses but fearing it is too cold right now I have opted for inside the house. started them last week. fingers crossed they will germinate . I have alot more to strat but really no room left so will have to be patient until It abit warmer. x

Thankyou very much for your replies!!

I meant to post a proper question when I started the thread but you have answered it perfectly. Thankyou ! I have about 30 plastic propegators with flower seeds in them, sitting in our dining room, south facing infront of the patio doors. The last three years running I put the propegators directly into my three plastic walk in greenhouses and they germinated beautifully. I just decided to use indoors as it is so cold! will move them out when they start to sprout. thankyou again and sorry if this reply double posts. I can't see my reply to you both so posted twice xx
