Wonderful, thank you all

Can't say I live in a particularly boggy area, if anything the soil round here is very sandy. Must be down to weather we have had of late lol

Now that the weather is brightening up I have finally ventured into my poor neglected garden. Before I start digging up the good bits is there anybody who could identify whether this is a weed or a plant, thank you.

Thanks for the quick response fidgetbones. The apples are fine inside so looking at you links it would appear to be scab. I think a severe pruning is in order

Hi, we have an old bramley apple tree which is in dire need of pruning and appears to have a disease of some description. It has produced a huge amount of fruit this year but most of the apples are marked, can anybody help identify what is wrong and what treatment is required.

Many thanks

Thanks all, have other people with this problem removed the leaves as suggested with any success or is it just a case of leave it alone?

My walnut tree has indentations on the leaves, I cannot see any bugs on there that may have caused this, is this something to be concerned about and treated?

Wonderful, thank you for such a swift response. My garden has become somewhat overgrown of late and it is becoming difficult to separate the plants from the weeds
