Yes Kef, I spotted one earlier on a Potentilla Miss Wilmott and it escaped my clutches although it must be starving because I currently have no lillies or Fritillaries in my garden
RHS quotes:"Although adult beetles have been found occasionally feeding on other plant species, only lilies and fritillaries are true hosts, on which eggs are laid and larvae develop."
Thus said lily beetle is an unloved lily beetle and serves it right
Weather improved this afternoon and allowed me a little walk around my garden with a cuppa and sore feet after my nine hr shift at work. Tomorrow I hope to get the last of my planting done and my new arch arrives in the morning although putting it up requires another day and another pair of hands.
