Good Evening FORKERS

Posted: 29/05/2013 at 19:30

Well it's rained constantly here today so don't mind being at work. OH is out trimming one of the hedges in the rain , I told him the weather is set to improve over the next couple of days but because its grown like mad this last week it's bugging the life out of him!

Had a visit to osteopath today, been suffering with neck, shoulder and arm.....I have a trapped nerve and already feel easier after the treatment, should sleep better tonight! I admit to being a miserable old '....the last couple of days, OH will be relieved !

Hi reiver, I'm a relative newbie to gardening myself so will let the more experienced answer your question, but happy retirement and enjoy your learning, there's some great helpers on here

Evening all.

much cooler here today but stayed dry until this evening. The skip is now full and I have a lot more garden back. OH is hoping to start turning the area over next weekend, weather permitting, and will be constructing a compost bin and a couple of raised veggie beds. I'm as excited as a kiddy in a sweetshop  We are both suffering with aching backs and shoulders today so will be taking it easy for a couple of days. We are both back to work tomorrow so won't have time to over exert ourselves anyway.

I was a bit naughty today, went to shops to get milk and popped in to gardening shop.....the 2 mini bay trees that I've been admiring on my last few visits just leapt into may arms.... They obviously wanted to go to a loving buyer, how could I refuse

Now I'll have to buy 2 nice pots!

Sorry TT, just missed you there! I used to enjoy a long soak with a nice glass of wine. Unfortunately these days only one glass gets me sozzled, so that combined with the heat of the bath could be fatal for me...... I blame my age related hormones

Funny you should say that Nut, the consultant did mention having just one eye treated was an option, as depending on the task required the relevant eye would send the message to the brain, fascinating isn't it!
