Just popped in to check what everyone's been doing !  Busy week work wise for me so no gardening done at all. I hate these dark evenings!

Im envious when I read what you've all been up to( I mean that in a nice way )  I do enjoy reading all the threads. I've been browsing the Kings seed catalogue, first time I've had one from them, and I must admit Im pleased with the range and varieties they sell and all the info they give. Will definately be ordering from them.

its raining outside at the moment so not sure what we have instore for the weekend but hope you all manage to 'get out there'...enjoy!

GG, yes I've been looking through all my catalogues this afternoon, Suttons have some lovely gift ideas.

Re sunflowers, I like the Ruby Sunset, the colour looks lovely and rich and the Jade Green and Suntastic yellow are nice( dwarf varieties). So much to choose from!

It started off miserable this morning, lashing down but by late morning it had brightened up and was a lovely mild day......managed to get even more clearing done so next job is to dig out to prepare a base for a new greenhouse. I've been out with tape measure, pen and paper and lots of ideas being jotted down and many more in my head

All all my seed catalogues have arrived so if it rains tomorrow I have plenty to keep me occupied, otherwise it's more digging!

Sadly Mr Fox paid a visit this week and we lost 3 of our chooks , I'm gutted and paranoid that he will be back for more! Guess it's the downside of keeping chickens!

GWRS, all looking very neat and tidy, you have worked hard!

Gardengirl, have ordered catalogues from suttons, T&M, kings and Sarah Raven ( looking to maybe treat myself flower wise from her site, if not too expensive)

I do get emails from Suttons re offers etc but I do like the feel of oaoer/ catalogue to browse through , am I the only one? Lol

Well I managed to get a couple of hours on the veggie garden and the central area has been rotavated  and covered over with garden plastic sheeting until next year, so pleased with that. Back to work tomorrow so not able to get anything more done til Friday afternoon. Happy gardening those of you who are able to get out there!

Wow you've all been very busy! You can tell from the pics how well you've done BizzieB

Gardening girl, it was seed catalogues I ordered, not any seeds yet, I'm a bit behind

BizzieB...planning a complete overhaul of the veggie garden area. Have only been growing in about 3 beds for the last couple of years....the garden had been left to go wild somewhat when we bought it. We've just been keeping it tidy for the last couple of years but know hoping to completely restructure it. Lots if ideas but really need to get it all down on paper but we now  have 2/3rds of it cleared of weeds and grass. Hoping to buy a new greenhouse as the old one is falling apart, also going to change its location so planning to get a base in over the next couple of weeks.

We have a few pallets to create a composting area and also want to get some bark down for the first of the pathways.

Hoping to get outside tomorrow if I feel up to it, have a good day peeps!

What a lovely day today and definately a day for gardening, alas I woke feeling poorly, earache, sore throat, crokey and absolutely wiped out energy wise !

However I've ordered all my seed catalogues online, played catch up with GW on TV and dreamt of what I will do when I feel better

Sorry Fruitcake but I'm a sweet pea lover too , I don't plant row after row but the odd obelisk or two looks lovely amongst my beds!
