Here's a few pics of my allotment garden. I've taken them from the left side of the area and tried to work my way around to the right so hopefully you can see all of it!

The last two are taken from the right side of the area. We've only really used the 3 small beds for veggies over the last 2 years and I'm now trying to clear the central area before winter sets in. Managed to get about an hour outside this afternoon after work and hoping to get some time in this weekend.

hope you all have a good weekend

A new allotment Fruitcake AND chooks....how exciting! I wouldn't be without 'my girls', not just for the eggs, they give me so much pleasure. I think the neighbours must think I'm mad as I chat away to them whilst gardening, even Maisie (the dog ) gets jealous of the attention they get

Hope your visit goes well today Fruitcake and hopefully the weather will be drier so we can all get some gardening done, enjoy everyone!

Yeahhhhhhh finished work earlier than expected this afternoon and as it was nice n dry I managed to cut the grass then had a couple of hours clearing some more of the allotment area. Disturbed a couple of frogs so there was a few screams from me....I know I'm sad but they really do freak me out! So glad I went out gardening instead of doing the housework as it has rained more most of this evening/night....feeling smug

Hi all, thank you for the welcome

nice pics there Gardengirl, I didn't sow beetroot this year but last summer I had a fab crop, they were huge. Don't know how I managed it but they were lovely , especially oven baked, yum yum.

I'm attempting to base my allotment garden on a 'potager' design, know it's gonna take a lot of time and hard work but it will be worth it.

Fruitcake, whereabouts in Bristol are you?
