Lupins

Morning everyone...update....after weeding my borders I have found 2 tiny tiny lupin leaves have appeared through the soil so I am hopefull that at least 2 of my original plants may survive. I have also planted 25 seeds a couple if weeks back in the greenhouse and they are all up and doing great so fingers crossed this year lupins will once again appear in my garden.....the vibrant colours of lupins are just to hard to resist have a fab weekend everyone

Hey Vernun, hope you rid your bug really soon...well I managed to get my front lawns cut today and gosh did they need it!. It was actually quiet enjoyable until it started to snow.......FLIPPING SNOW......doesn't it know it's the 4th April and it's supposed to be nice...grrrrrrr. Still I got my jobs done, so next it's on to clearing my borders ready for some new planting, hopefully in the sunshine! I can but live in hope

So nice to hear people enjoying the sunshine. Yesterday was spent pressure washing the fences and patio furniture...I live in hope that I WILL be ble to sit outside soon...ha! So the fences are ready now for a re paint (before the plants start to appear) and today's task is to cut the front lawn and plant up some pots....I just hope that this wind drops..

Hi, a couple of years back I planted out lots of Lupins that I grew from seed and for the past 2 years had amazing shows...now this year I'm worried as I'm sure the folage was coming up through the soil by this time...or am I wrong?....As yet I can see nothing!

Evening everyone.....what a lovely day it was today, still a bit cool but beautiful blue sky's. Makes getting out in to the garden so much nicer...I'm definitely a fair weather person and mowing my lawn for the first time this year felt great. Then off up the greenhouse devising a plan of what to grow this year....really made me smile...let's hope that this weather continues and we can all get out their and enjoy it. Enjoy your week everyone

Good mornkng Derek, really grateful fir your advise, I so hate the way my grass looks...... cant access the link you put on for me to go to, only the main page.....can you tell me what the product is called and ill try and find it directly from the main page...I had to giggle at your illusion of a larger garden thats a genius idea lol

Thank you Derek, I'm really looking for personal opinions though as I've read a few books and been on a few sites and they all just say one way or the other. As you guys have some fantastic knowledge I thought there maybe someone out there who has tried both methods and for one reason or another prefers one of them.....always good to get advice from people who have tried a certain way and won the battle..as such

What Type of Garden is Yours.

Quite big lawn (well it is for me) that can only be described as organised chaos.....oh and full of moss due to natural springs underneath it and a lack of lawn care knowledge..on the plus side I have lots of ideas of what to do but could do with a lottery win to allow me to full fill my dream. I have however in the past week watched my first daffodil open so spring is on its way and hopefully will bring some much needed dry weather to allow my lawn to start to recover.
