help! My lawn is covered in moss, from a distance it looks green and normal but as you get nearer you can see its just covered with dense moss. When you walk on it it's like walking on sponge. Now I know I need to aerate it and scarify it but wondered what people thought about which was the better method. I don't want to put anything on the lawn to kill the moss as such ( don't want black patches) so wondered if anyone could advise on what they have found to be the easiest/quickest/more effective method. Thanks everyone

Fully Shaded Border, need help please

My mother in law had the same problem and she, in the end decided to get rid of her lawn completely and have raised borders so the dog couldn't access them. She laid a large central patio where the grass had been and put a stone bird bath in the centre for the dog to cock its legs on and each night she just goes out and hoses it all down and it always looks immaculate. As for the planting, my lavender does well and I have it in a shaded area, also what about ferns, they grow in woods so they should be okay too.....I'm very new to gardening though so don't take my word for it. I'm sure you'll get the device you need on here, there are some very talented people out there....good luck

How very sad.....all that hard work and it comes to this. Surely if the landlord was aware what was happening and he allowed it to continue then how can he do this to them now and not only that he has no way of knowing what the next tenants would like to do with the garden, he could charge more for the property with the beautiful surroundings that they have created.....a terribly sad story and they have my totall sympathy.....I wish what time they have left together is peaceful and that some happiness can be brought back into their lives.....

Really need some help, badly!!!!

I missed the programme and was so cross with myself.....but then I read this feed and saw the comment about I player......I really enjoyed it although I wish they would say how much things cost to replicate and maybe give ideas on how to do something similar on a smaller budget. Monty always makes me smile but joe just doesn't do it for me and Carol, bless her she's such a smiley person.....looking forward to next week....sky reminder is set to record
