Compost for carnivorous plants

Posted: 29/11/2013 at 15:05

hi mark, i make my own i got a 75litre bag of peat moss, for about £5. and mix my own sharp sand and perlite. I put all my carnivorous plants in the greenhouse now for winter. You do know they will really appreciate a cold winter. down to -5 and colder. Don't try and keep it as a house plant all year round. It must rest, or it will not make it through  next year.  They only ones i keep in the house over winter are the monkey cups.

fly traps, pitchers, sundew ect are outside now.

Something my nan said a few times,

Your son's your son untill he take's a wife, but your daughter is a daughter for life.

I have a rule, that is if it's not as good as what i have at home i'm not staying or going anywhere. Like caravaning I just dont get it. If you want to be cramped all week, move all you furniture into the spare room, eat, sleep and live in there, at least you still have a flushing toilet, and you dont have to see it twice.
