A beautiful dwarf sized, slow-growing shrub that is ideal for smaller gardens. Abelia x grandiflora is evergreen in mild winters, but needs protection from hard frosts. If grown in at least half sun, an increased number of the lightly fragrant, pale pink flowers are produced from June until October. Its leaves are 2-3 cm long, pointed and glossy. ‘Confetti’ is a variegated cultivar with white margins and a blush of pink on new foliage.

Great evergreen plant. Review says it needs protection but mine has suffered wind and snow without a Mark. I have mine in clay soil and use as a hedging plant at the front of the border. The flowers are small but add interest, slightly scented.Low maintenance , just trim lightly after flowering. Do not cut into old wood.
