This attractive dwarf conifer is perfect for planting where space is limited. It forms a rounded tree that reaches no more than about 60cm (2ft) tall. Unusually for a conifer, it does not produce any cones. Its dark green leaves are whitish underneath and are densely arranged on the shoots in a v-shape. Young foliage is sometimes damaged by frost so it is worth providing some protection on cold nights.
