Plant details
This is a lovely, deciduous shrub from Chile with downy, greyish, vine-shaped leaves. Fast-growing, it bears copious numbers of large, pale to deep mauve flowers in early summer. Being half-hardy, it needs protection from frosts. Plants growing outside on the patio should be brought indoors for winter and kept in a light, frost-free place and watered sparingly until the following spring.
