Plant details
This is a handsome, medium-sized maple from China which has shiny, pointed leaves that are mid-green when young turning orange to yellow in autumn. Pendant racemes of sweetly scented, greenish flowers, appear in early summer followed by very ornamental green keys, suffused red, that hang decoratively all along the branches. The bark is coral-red when young but later turns green- and white-streaked with age.
