Acer henryi is native to China and is rarely grown in Britain. Branching and multi-stemmed, it has dark green leaves, which develop dramatic red, orange or yellow autumn colour. It makes an attractive focal point.

For best results grow Acer henryi in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to dappled shade, in a sheltered position.
