Plant details

This is a clump-forming perennial with white feathery flowers from mid spring to early summer. These are followed by poisonous, attractive, red, slender-stalked berries. This plant enjoys woodland conditions, preferring moist, peaty soil and partil shade. Propagate by division in spring. The berries of this plant are highly toxic when ingested. The Royal Horticultural Society has given this plant its prestigious award of Garden Merit.
