Plant details

African blue lilies add a touch of the exotic to the summer garden with their stunning blue flowers, held above strappy foliage. 'Ovatus' produces delightful open bell-shaped, rich blue blooms in mid- to late summer. Grow in moist but well-drained soil in a sunny spot. In colder area, put on a dry mulch in winter. Alternatively, plant in large pots and move to a sheltered spot during bad weather.
