Plant details
Neat mats of spreading, tufty, silver-green foliage, topped by umbrella-like clusters of pearly white flowers in mid-to late summer these dry naturally on the plant and remain in good condition well into autumn, extending the flowering season by up to two months. The plants make good ground cover for the front of a sunny border. This variety, whose name translates as 'Summer Snow', is particularly good for white gardens because of its sparkling white colour and lack of yellow centres the backs of the foliage are covered with fine hairs which give the plant a slightly felty texture. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
