Plant details

Androsace lanuginosa flowers from mid to late summer, continuing later than many alpines and effectively extending the rock garden season right into autumn. Throughout this time, the trailing stems of grey-green foliage are studded with rounded clusters of pale pink flowers, with a clear yellow eye which sets them off beautifully. It is an ideal plant to grow over rocks, or trailing over walls. The Royal Horticultural Society have give it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
