Arisaema engleri is native to the Hubei Province of China. In spring, a dark purple and white striped, green-speckled pitcher flower sits on a central purple stem, among broad, dark green, lush foliage.

Plant tubers 15-25cm deep in winter or early spring. For best results grow Arisaema engleri in moist, well-drained soil in a cool, partially shaded site. Mulch in winter when the plants have died down and protect from late frosts in spring.
