Plant details
This is an aromatic perennial with silvery grey, much divided leaves. These are complemented by loose spikes of tiny yellow flowers in late summer. This plant is drought tolerant, and requires well-drained soil. It has been used as a herbal remedy for thousands of years in the treatment of such ailments as indigestion, gout and scurvy, and is renowned for its bitter taste. Use absinth in a rock garden, herb garden or in a mixed flower border. The silvery grey foiliage makes an excellent backdrop for bright coloured flowers.
