Astrophytum myriostigma is a slow-growing cactus native to Mexico. Unlike many cacti, it has no spines which makes handling a pain-free experience. Yellow flowers are produced in summer and sometimes have a red centre.

Grow Astrophytum myriostigma in cactus compost with added limestone chippings in a bright spot. Water during the growing season but keep dry during the winter.
